Guiding Women Through Body Image Struggles, Anxiety & Trauma—

Toward a life of Healing, Confidence & Freedom

At Rising with Me, I’m driven by a simple yet profound mission: to empower women to reclaim their lives from anxiety, trauma, disordered eating, and emotional abuse.

Living as a woman is hard. From the time you were young, you were bombarded with contradictory messages about who you needed to be in order to fit in and be liked.

“Be confident, but don’t be too confident.”  “Be skinny, but not that skinny. Have curves.”

“Be yourself! But also, please everyone else.” “Women can have it all! But also, you’re really going to continue to work as a mom? You’re neglecting your kids.”

Of course, all of this is made even more complicated, if the gender you were assigned at birth does not match who you truly are. Sometimes it feels like no matter what we do, we are always judged, and we are never good enough.

Like so many women I have worked with, I have felt the weight of trying to be the perfect partner, friend, daughter, and student only to be left feeling like I was not good enough. We have been taught to prioritize others at our own expense.

We can no longer listen to our bodies because we are just trying to survive. We struggle with anxiety, disordered eating, negative body image, depression and auto-immune diseases.

What if many of our illnesses stem from living in a culture where it has not been safe to live in a fully embodied way?

Many of my clients struggle to identify what their true feelings and needs are and to advocate for them, instead of catering to the needs of everyone else first.

I want you to know that you can find safety, vulnerability and connection to yourself and within your relationships. You can experience pleasure without judgement or guilt.

I strive to empower women to reconnect to their deepest feelings, desires and needs. Together, we will create a realistic path to live out your desires. I am confident that when we are able to connect to ourselves, build trust through safety and connection, and communicate our needs, we can find a path forward that we did not yet know existed.

The Journey That Inspired Rising with Me

The path to creating Rising with Me began from my own deep understanding of what it feels like to be stuck in overwhelming cycles of anxiety, shame, and self-doubt.

Especially in the 90’s and early 2000’s, you were judged harshly if you did not meet unrealistic beauty standards and appease others. Moments of being shamed for my weight and eating habits still live rent-free in my mind.

For years, I battled an eating disorder, perfectionism and crippling anxiety. My self-esteem was dismal, and I accepted affection from individuals who did not show me enough respect or care.

It took years of my own therapy and self-determination to find the courage to be vulnerable, trust myself and develop healthy relationships. But I am so glad that I did. From this, my passion to help other young women struggling with eating disorders, unhealthy relationships and low self-esteem was born.

It brings me immense joy to see my clients finally able to feel genuinely at peace with food and their body and to own their power.

I believe that all women deserve to love and be loved for who they truly are.
